Marc Chagall - Marc Chagall (Belarusian and Russian: Марк Шага́л; his real name was Mojša Zacharavič Šahałaŭ / Мойша Захаравіч Шагалаў) (July 7, 1887 – March 28, 1985) was a Belarusian-born French painter. Among the celebrated painters of the 20th century, he is often associated with the Surrealist movement.

The appellation was given him by classicist John Beazley in 1910, who identified the work of this artist on vases by the potter Kleophrades.

Chagall Guevara was an American rock band, heavily influenced by The Clash, formed by solo artist Steve Taylor in 1989, and joined by friends Lynn Nichols (from the 1970's Phil Keaggy band), Dave Perkins, bassist Wade Jaynes and drummer Mike Mead. Chagall Guevara disbanded some time later, but they did reunite temporarily in 1994 to record Treasure of the Broken Land for the Mark Heard tribute album Strong Hand of Love. The band first appeared on the soundtrack to the motion picture Pump Up The Volume with a song called "Tale O' The Twister".
